Alouette is built around a first-hand telling of events in occupied Hong Kong between 1941-45. It is the story of a young girl’s experiences in the Second World War. Her father is a POW in Sham Shui Po Prison and she sees him, every day, across a Fence. This film is about the indelible ability of the human spirit to survive horrific events and maintain hope against all odds.
